QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Historian Don Rittner has been the director of a historical society covering Lake George, Glens Falls, and a slice of the Adirondacks for just over a year. His love of history is much older than that - as is a history show he's been producing on and off since 2012. WHITEHALL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 27-year-old Whitehall man is in custody following a stabbing on Broadway on Sunday. The Washington County Sheriff's Office charged Miguel Medrano-Garcia with assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and menacing in the second degree. The investigation determined that Medrano-Garcia was involved in an argument with a domestic partner when a male tried to intervene. Medrano-Garcia then assaulted the male. The male victim was transported to the Glens Falls Hospital for treatment.Medrano-Garcia was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment and is being held in lieu of bail. Bail is set at $1,000/$2500 secure bond/$5,000 partially secured bond. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Troy Police Department has released new information about the civilian death under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigation. Initial reports indicate that Officers Richard Romero and Joseph Gomes responded to a report of an active trespass complaint on October 13. The officers saw Smith leaving the home through a first-floor window and placed him in handcuffs. FULTONVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 31-year-old woman from Fultonville was arrested on Monday for alleged sex crimes involving a child. Amberlynn M. Calhoun was charged with third-degree rape, criminal sexual act in third degree, and disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Calhoun reportedly shared indecent images and/or videos of a sexual nature with a juvenile. ST. LOUIS – A man from northeast Missouri will likely spend the rest of his life in federal prison after admitting to the rape of a young girl and an infant.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Mark Anthony Davis, 36, pleaded guilty in May to two counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.Davis admitted in court to recording the rape of a girl under the age of 10 and the rape of an 11-month-old boy. Davis also confessed to owning videos containing child pornography; those videos also include the rape and torture of children.Federal prosecutors said Davis inflicted "hideous torture" on his own children and deserved "the most serious sentence possible."A U.S. District Court judge sentenced Davis to 30 years on each production charge and 20 years on the possession charge. Mourners paid their last respects to Manhattan Beach Police Officer Chad Swanson, 35, who died in a crash on the 405 Freeway on Oct. 4.
